Adding a 2 inch hitch receiver is gonna allow you to do a few different things. You can use it with accessories like a cargo carrier or a bike rack. You can take those bikes to and from the trailer, you can get some of the cargo outta your Durango and put it on a carrier, like bulkier items, like a cooler, or big luggage bags. It'll give you a little bit more space inside of your vehicle. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Dodge Hornet- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver on our 2023 Dodge Hornet. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see visible is gonna be the receiver tube opening and that gives you a nice clean look, but all the usability of your hitch. Now this is a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great. It's kind of the standard size for hitches. So when it comes to bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have tons of options available. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is an exposed cross tube, so it hangs down a little bit here, and you can see the portion of the hitch, but overall it looks pretty clean. And this one, being a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening means that you're gonna have tons of options whether you're using it for bike racks, cargo carriers, a ball mount, or really any accessory that you want to load up. Now, any of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8" pin and clip. Now this doesn't come with the hitch. A lot of your accessories when you pick 'em up will have those included, but if you wanna pick up an extra or a locking version, we have plenty of those here at etrailer. more

Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Durango and it is an exposed cross tube so you are gonna be able to see the entire hitch portion that's hanging down below the rear fascia. But overall it's not too bad of a look. And this one's kind of nice. It's got a weld on tab here. So if you plan on putting trailer wiring this makes it easier to pick up a four pole or a seven pole bracket and bolt up directly. more

As you can see it still retains a good look under the vehicle, the cross tube, you can see just a touch of it, but most of it's concealed under the bumper, still giving a good sharp look to the vehicle. Clayton: Hey guys, how's it going Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today I have a 2019 Dodge Charger and I'll be walking you through how to install a Draw-Tite class 3 trailer hitch. This is what your hitch is going to look like installed, as you can see, the cross tube is still visible, but it will retain that nice factory look because it is tucked up underneath the vehicle. This hitch does have a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, this is important because it will play well with most hitch mount accessories, such as bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts. Having the ability to use a cargo carrier or a bike rack is great because it gets all of your stuff outside of your car without being in the vehicle, cramping up their passengers. So you can load your cargo on the cargo rack or your bikes on your bike rack instead of having to cram them in the trunk, backseat or sticking them on the roof.This hitch is a class 3 hitch, and it does have a 5,8" hitch pin hole, the pin and clip are not included with this hitch, but you can find them here at etrailer.com. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver. So probably my favorite thing about this hitch is its appearance. It's going to be pretty low profile, and it's going to have a matte black carbide finish, and so it's really just going to blend in with a lot of the truck's plastic moldings, like our bumper plastic for example, and in my opinion that's just going to give it a really factory look. I also really like how easy this is going to be to use. The hitch pin hole, it's going to be 5/8 in size, and it's going to be about in the center of our receiver tube, so you're not going to have to reach your hand way back there to try to get it undone. more

Now that's going to be perfect if you plan on using a super truss. So, say if you have an in-bed camper that overhangs, or if you're just wanting to tow a trailer and carry an accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier at the same time. This is going to allow you to do that. Now, in all honesty, this hitch is really going to interest those of you that are using an in=bed camper that overhangs and it's going to block easy access to your hitch.This is going to allow that super truss to plug into both of the hitches and extend out at whatever length is more suitable for you, past your in bed-camper. Now, when you think of a trailer hitch, most people are going to think about towing a trailer, and we totally can do that with our Durango, but it's also going to allow us to put other accessories in there, like a bike rack that way we won't have to worry about cramming our bikes in the inside, or maybe we just need to make a little bit of room, we can put a cargo carrier on there. Today, on our 2014 RAM 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver.Now, right off the bat, one of the things that sets it apart from some of the others is that it's going to be visible, but that's because it is a class five and it's a very heavy duty hitch. With something this heavy duty, it's going to be tough to make it completely hidden and still has that heavy duty performance.Now, the hitches maximum gross tongue weight rating, it's going to be 1,500 pounds. So, that's going to be the amount of weight pushing down on the hitch, so if you we're ever to happen to want to use this hitch with an accessory, you'd have more than enough tongue weight to do that. Now, the maximum gross trailer weight rating is going to be 12,000 pounds. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Dodge Challenger- Video

Jake: Hey, guys, it's Jake here with the eTrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install this Curt hitch on our 2011 Dodge Challenger. Now, it's not going to be too bad of an install, but it's going to give you that ability, when having a hitch, you're going to have that ability to insert any hitch accessories, ball mounts, or if you have a bike rack or a cargo carrier, for instance, it's going to give you a lot more space to be able to carry your accessories on the back of your vehicle. With this hitch, you're going to have a two inch by two inch hitch receiver, with a nice collar on the outside to give it a nice finished look. It's going to have a black powder-coat finish to help protect against rust and corrosion and give it a nice sleek look.With this hitch, you're going to have a standard 5/8 inch pin hole so you can insert those pins to lock those accessories down. Along with that, you're going to have loops to be able to hook your safety chains in, if you happen to be towing a trailer, or if you have an accessory that has tie-downs. more

But however, there is an upside of that, and that's going to be a little more user-friendly, it's going to be easier to use. It's going to take less effort to get any of our accessories connected or disconnected. Since this is a class 3 hitch, it's going to have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and it's also going to have a reinforced collar for a little extra strength. It's also going to have a 5/8" size pin hole, which does accept the standard 5/8" pin and clip, which does not come included. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video

Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed across. The cross seam is going to be hidden behind the bumper really nice and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out.Now it's going to be a Class II hitch which means it's going to give us that 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and be really nice for bike racks or cargo carriers. But the way we're going to mount any of our accessories, see the hitch pin hole here on the side It is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. Now these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure.Our safety chain connection points going to be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. As you can see we've got plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.As far as the weight capacity goes, our hitch is going to have a 350 pound tongue weight that's going to be the maximum downward force at the end of the receiver tube. more
